Bears sit at restaurant table
In Sinaia, a whole family of bears recently ambled into a restaurant and, well, sat down at the tables. When they didn't get any service - everyone fled the restaurant - the brown bear and two cubs found the kitchen and ate their fill.
Police and rangers were called out, but the bears had gone before they arrived. They didn't even leave a tip.

Big Brother is coming to Copenhagen!
The Danish capital Copenhagen is set to join other cities around Europe in using CCTV surveillance cameras to keep an eye on the public. Stroget high street is slated to be the first area to receive the cameras, with three other districts in Copenhagen to follow.
Stroget is a hugely popular pedestrian area that stretches for two kilometres across Copenhagen’s downtown. Although its crime rates are no higher than other parts of the city, Stroget has a reputation for night-time drunken fights.

Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday
Summer Family Golf Tournaments
Each summer for the past 18 years, the Myrtle Beach area golf courses host a series of single-day events designed to allow families to include a little golf competition with their family vacation. The format is a two-person Captain's Choice (scramble). We use the Callaway System, so no handicap is necessary. Each event includes three divisions: Open, Couples and Adult/Youth.

Peles Castle back to Romanian Royal Familly
Michael I (86 yo) says his return to Peles Castle rights a historic wrong. The palace was confiscated when the Communist regime forced him to abdicate in 1947. Peles Castle – a 160-room palace in the Carpathian Mountains – was built in the resort of Sinaia in the late 19th century by Romania’s first German-born king, Carol I.

Vandalism against the Little Mermaid of Copenhagen
When it comes to vandalism, compared to other famous national symbols, the Little Mermaid sets a sad record.
Neither Big Ben (London), the Eiffel Tower (Paris), the Statue of Liberty (New York) nor Manneken-Pis (Bruxelles) can match the number of attacks the Mermaid has suffered.
Vandalism in more than 40 years
1’st September 1961 - the hair of the mermaid was painted red and she was dressed in bra.
28′th April 1963 - she was drenched with red paint.
24′th April 1964 - the head was cut off for the first time. The Danish artist Jorgen Nash confessed in his book in 1997 that he had committed the crime.
15′th July 1976 - she was drenched with paint again.
22′nd July 1984 - she lost her right arm. Two young men returned the arm the day after. They had amputated the arm, while they were drunk.
5′th August 1990 - someone discovered that attempts had been made to cut off the head. An 18 cm long cut almost cut off the head.
6′th January 1998 - in the morning, the mermaid had lost her head again.
11’th September 2003 - the Mermaid was knocked down from her stone.

The Copenhagen experience
Have you ever been to Copenhagen? Copenhagen is one of Europe’s oldest and most wonderful capitals. With almost 1.9 million inhabitants, it has a friendly and international atmosphere that makes easy, even for a first-time visitor, to feel at home.
Why go there? The longest pedestrian shopping area in Europe, the Freetown Christiania, the Tivoli Gardens, the Little Mermaid, the Gefion fountain, the new Copenhagen Opera House, the National Museum of Denmark, Denmark’s national gallery, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Nyhavn, the Copenhagen Zoo, Christiansborg Palace, Amalienborg Palace - with it’s changing of guard, Rosenborg Castle, the Kastellet, the Church of Holmen, and the Borsen building.
Surroundings may also offer you some worth to remember experiences: Hamlet’s Castle, Oresund Bridge, the Arken Museum of Modern Art and Louisiana Museum of Modern Art to name a few.
